Marshall is a very talented young engineer, the mix only took a few days and his communication and professionalism was excellent throughout, even sharing the first mix for review before moving onto mix the whole set. For anyone looking for professional mixing services I would highly recommend Marshall, great job!

I’ve worked closely with Marshall for a few years and his passion for mixing really shines through. He has a greatear for rock and metal, and his attention to detail brings out the best in a track. If you’re looking for someone whotruly cares about the music, he’s definitely worth working with.

We commissioned Marshall to produce a series of podcast episodes for Miner2Major, a 5-year heritage scheme managed by Nottinghamshire County Council. Marshall recorded and produced 12 episodes of the ‘Voices From Sherwood Forest’ podcast out on location and in the studio. He built up a good rapport with the guest speakers, making them feel at ease and adapted to different, and sometimes challenging locations to ensure high quality recordings were produced.

His professionalism and quality of his work is of a high standard. We would be happy to work with Marshall again in the future and would recommend him to others.

How does your blindness affect your work as an audio engineer and musician?

My blindness does not hinder my ability to deliver high-quality audio. I use specialized tools, software, and techniques that allow me to navigate and manipulate sound with precision. For example, I use Voiceover, the mac’s native screen reader. This comes on all apple devices natively. My approach is highly focused on listening rather than relying on visuals, which often results in deeper attention to detail in the music.

What DAW and gear do you use?

I work with Logic Pro and ProTools and use a combination of professional-grade plugins and hardware to achieve top-tier results. My setup is designed for efficiency and accessibility, ensuring a smooth workflow from start to finish. I use Waves Plugins, as well as plugins available in the universal audio spark subscription, and SSL native plugins.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the project. A mix might take a few days, while mastering can often be completed within 24–48 hours. Session musician work varies based on the arrangement and recording requirements. I will often give people a custom timeline depending on their specific project, and we can communicate through email, phone, video calls, etc. If you would like anything specific such as updates in a consistent timeframe, for example, updates once every day or 2 days, please specify.
