Orchestra of the Swan, what an honour. This week marked one of those rare, unforgettable moments in my musical journey. I had the absolute privilege of collaborating with some truly world-class talent, working side by side with Orchestra of the Swan, Inspire Youth Arts, and Able Orchestra.
In preparation for the upcoming Able Orchestra Unlocked event at Nottingham Contemporary on 1st April 2025, we came together to compose a completely new piece of music. The energy in the room was palpable as creative minds merged ideas, blending diverse influences into a single, resonant composition. This collaborative spirit not only fueled the creative process but also reminded me why I love this industry so much.
One of the aspects I cherish most about my career is the opportunity to record with some of the finest musicians out there. Reflecting on my experience recording with Riot Ensemble back in 2023, I couldn’t help but crave that same exhilarating feeling of making music with fellow virtuosos. This recent collaboration with Orchestra of the Swan has reignited that passion, and I am beyond excited to see how our new piece comes to life on stage at Nottingham Contemporary.
The anticipation is building as we count down to the Able Orchestra Unlocked event in April. I can already envision the moment when the music we created together fills the hall, connecting every note with the hearts of the audience. Working with Inspire Youth Arts and Able Orchestra has been an incredible experience—one that reaffirms the power of musical collaboration and the magic that happens when talented individuals come together.
Thank you to Inspire Youth Arts and Able Orchestra for your trust, creativity, and for sharing your extraordinary talent. I cannot wait for our paths to cross again as we continue to push the boundaries of musical expression. Stay tuned for more updates as we journey towards what promises to be an unforgettable performance on April 1st, 2025.
